We are currently looking for a Transport Administrator to join our transport Manager at Stowe School.
The purpose of the role is to work alongside the Transport Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the transport department. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to establish requirements for pupil transport, liaise with transport companies to ensure bookings are requested in a timely manner and maintain third party driver compliance records. You will assist the Transport Manager in all aspects of maintaining school vehicles. Carry out basic vehicles checks as required, including collection and delivery of vehicles to garages for maintenance and repairs.
You will have strong communication and organisational skills and be able to multi task and prioritise workloads. Ideally you will have knowledge of Transport compliance and safety regulations.
Hours of work: 30 hours per week over 39.4 weeks per year (a degree of flexibility will be required).
Stowe School
Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
