Job Title: Customer Service Advisor
Location: Boldon Colliery
Pay Rate: £12.37 - 12.87 per hour
Job Type: Temp-Perm
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

HRGO Recruitment are currently looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join a well-established company based in Boldon Colliery.

This role will involve supporting business customers with complex utility billing queries. You will be speaking directly with business owners and decision makers, helping them understand their bills, resolving account queries, and supporting them with payment arrangements where required.

The ideal candidate will have previous contact centre or customer service experience, be confident speaking with customers over the phone, and able to handle sometimes sensitive financial conversations in a professional and supportive manner.

Main Duties:

  • Handling incoming calls from business customers regarding utility billing queries

  • Making outbound calls to follow up on outstanding accounts or discuss payment arrangements

  • Responding to customer emails and live chat enquiries in a professional and timely manner

  • Assisting business customers in understanding complex utility bills and charges

  • Setting up payment plans and working with customers to agree suitable repayment options

  • Encouraging and supporting customers to bring accounts up to date

  • Accurately updating customer information and account notes on the internal system

  • Providing a professional, empathetic and solution-focused service at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre environment

  • Confident communicating with customers over phone, email and live chat

  • Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations professionally

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
