East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to join the DAS (Diagnostics, Anaesthetic & Surgical) Division.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Nurse, Allied Health Professional or Healthcare Scientist to join as the Assistant Director of Nursing, AHP and Clinical Professions.
We are looking for an inspiring and motivated Nurse, AHP or HCS leader who is committed to the consistent delivery of high standards of compassionate care, with the ability to challenge and influence practice.
You will have a proven track record of putting safety, quality, patient and staff experience at the heart of your practice.
The Assistant Director of Nursing, AHP and Clinical Professions is a senior clinical leader within the Care Group, responsible for the strategic, professional and operational leadership across a portfolio of services. Working in partnership with the Divisional Director of Nursing, AHP & Clinical Professions and the divisional triumvirate to deliver high quality safe and person-centred care and supporting the wellbeing or our teams.
The post holder will play a pivotal part in shaping the professional workforce, driving clinical excellence and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. The post holder will act as a visible and accessible leader, championing the Trust’s values and supporting the delivery of the Nursing, Midwifery, AHP and Healthcare Scientist strategy.
The Assistant Director of Nursing, AHP & Clinical Professions will promote the vision and values of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, leading by example and ensuring that they demonstrate those values in their leadership behaviours and how we support our teams and deliver our services.
The Assistant Director of Nursing , AHP & Clinical Professions will deputise for the Divisional Director of Nursing AHP and Clinical Professions as required.
Participation in the Silver out of hours on call rota.

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, AHP & Clinical Professions you will be highly visible and accountable to the Divisional Director of Nursing and Divisional triumvirate You'll work to ensure the provision of high quality, evidence based, responsive services that hold the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery.
Your responsibilities will include: Provision of professional and managerial leadership across a care group focusing on delivering the Trust Nursing, Midwifery, AHP and Healthcare Scientist strategy and the development and implementation of divisional priorities aligned to the corporate objectives and national/local policy.
Core accountabilities include: Professional Leadership, Operational Delivery, Performance & Assurance, Governance & Risk, Education & Development and Stakeholder Engagement.
You will be accountable for the direct delivery of high quality care and the continual review of standards in clinical practice working within the financial framework. Leading on developments and innovation.
Divisional lead for specific quality agendas as agreed by the Divisional triumvirate.
