The post holder will provide administrative support to the Anticoagulation team and assist in the efficient running of the service. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Knowledge of anticoagulation treatment is desirable but not required, as full training will be provided.
Supporting the Anticoagulant Specialist Nurses to ensure that the Anticoagulant Clinic are run efficiently. See attached job description.

JOB SUMMARY:
The post holder will provide administrative support within the Anticoagulation Service and assist in the efficient running of the department. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Knowledge of anticoagulation treatment is desirable but not required.
Main duties of the role include:
1. Using the DAWN anticoagulation software system (training will be provided).
2. Carrying out general administrative and reception duties for the anticoagulation clinic.
3. Supporting the team by handling telephone enquiries professionally, accurately recording and relaying messages, and directing queries to the appropriate healthcare professional.
4. Processing inpatient and outpatient anticoagulation referrals in a timely manner.
5. Booking new and follow‑up anticoagulation patients using the DAWN and IPM electronic systems.
