We are currently looking for a Crane Maintenance Technician to join a thriving engineering and maintenance team in Gateshead.

The Role – Crane Maintenance Technician
As a Crane Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation, maintenance and reliability of cranes and lifting equipment across site.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on cranes and lifting equipment.
Conducting statutory inspections, tests and maintaining accurate maintenance records in line with legislation.
Managing maintenance schedules and providing updates to engineering teams.
Collaborating with production teams and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
About You
We are looking for a motivated Crane Maintenance Technician with:
A time‑served engineering background (Mechanical or Maintenance), with relevant engineering qualifications.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Confidence working at height and a commitment to strict Health & Safety standards.
Experience with crane maintenance or LEEA training (advantageous)
