M365 Teams Voice Engineer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced M365 Teams Voice Engineer to deliver Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice deployments and unified communications solutions across enterprise client sites. Ideal for a technical specialist with experience in Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud infrastructure, networking and PowerShell automation.

SALARY: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Field based role working predominantly at customer sites UK-wide (with occasional visits to the company offices in Bristol)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (ending 18 December 2026 with potential to extend)

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a M365 Teams Voice Engineer to join a specialist consultancy team delivering Microsoft cloud and unified communications deployments across enterprise client environments throughout the United Kingdom.

Working across multiple customer sites, the M365 Teams Voice Engineer will design, implement and support Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice platforms, enabling seamless collaboration, telephony migration and reliable communication services.

As a M365 Teams Voice Engineer you will work closely with project teams, SMEs and client stakeholders to deliver site enablement, device deployment and voice platform configuration as part of large-scale Microsoft digital transformation programmes.

The company specialise in helping organisations maximise their investments in Microsoft 365, Azure and Teams voice management. They provide expert consultancy, 24/7 support, and automation-driven administration and configuration services to streamline communication, enhance collaboration and boost productivity for their clients.


DUTIES

Your duties as the M365 Teams Voice Engineer include:

• Technical Delivery: Provide technical expertise during project delivery including solution design, migration planning and implementation

• Site Enablement: Support structured deployment activities across client sites including configuration of Teams voice services and user policies

• Device & Telephony Deployment: Install and configure Teams-certified desk phones and DECT solutions ensuring correct setup and functionality

• Testing & Validation: Conduct inbound and outbound call testing and support number porting validation including DDI functionality and call routing

• Customer & Stakeholder Support: Work with project teams, partners and client stakeholders while guiding end-users through telephony transitions

• Documentation & Standards: Maintain deployment documentation and ensure activities follow established processes, security standards and deployment runbooks


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

• Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams and Enterprise Voice including configuration, optimisation, deployment and operational support

• Experience working with Microsoft 365, Azure and core networking technologies

• Familiarity with enterprise voice solutions including SBCs, media packs and gateways (ideally AudioCodes)

• Background supporting on-site and hybrid infrastructure environments

• Experience using PowerShell for automation and configuration tasks

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and partners

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Full UK driving licence

• Right to work in the UK

• Eligible for SC security clearance

Desirable

• Knowledge of PRINCE2 Foundation

• ITIL qualification or familiarity with IT service management frameworks

• Microsoft technical certifications
