Year 5 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting June 2026 with no planning required

Duties as Year 5 Teacher:

  • Teach a Year 5 class full time with no planning required
  • Deliver engaging lessons using provided planning and resources
  • Adapt teaching to support varied learning needs, including SEND
  • Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
  • Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum subjects
  • Provide verbal feedback to guide pupil development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain strong upper‑KS2 provision
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Year 5 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong upper‑KS2 experience
  • Confident delivering lessons using provided planning
  • Effective behaviour management and strong classroom organisation
  • Able to motivate and support pupils of mixed abilities
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
