Storilabs UK Ltd is a growing technology company specialising in digital transformation, automation of business operations, and data engineering and analytics solutions for both emerging and established organisations. We help businesses improve efficiency, gain actionable insights, and scale their operations through modern technology and data-driven decision-making. The company is also expanding into FinTech services with a strong focus on audit and financial process automation. Our solutions aim to streamline financial data processing, automate audit workflows, improve compliance monitoring, and enable organisations to perform faster, more transparent, and data-driven financial audits.
We are seeking a Senior Technical Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role you will act as the lead technical accounting specialist responsible for delivering IFRS-compliant financial reporting, consolidation, and advisory services for IT team and clients operating in fintech, e-commerce, and digital platforms.
Main Duties Include:
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to design and implement automated audit procedures that replace manual testing for core financial cycles (Revenue, AP/AR, Payroll, etc.).
• Define the business logic and "red flag" parameters that the software will use to flag anomalies or potential fraud.
• Ensure all automated processes remain compliant with evolving standards (e.g., FRS, IFRS).
• Perform "audit the audit" checks to ensure the automated outputs are accurate and defensible to external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technology and data engineering teams to integrate accounting and reporting requirements into financial systems, automated reporting platforms, and data dashboards.
• Support finance transformation initiatives by implementing improvements in financial reporting processes through automation, digital tools, and data analytics.
• Manage company’s financial operations including management accounts, financial statement support, payments, payroll, reconciliations, VAT returns, and statutory compliance with UK regulations
Skills and Education
• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS / UK GAAP)
• Proven experience in technical accounting, or a similar field ideally trained within a Big 4 or top-tier practice, with strong exposure to complex IFRS reporting.
• 5+ years in external/internal audit, with a proven track record of using technology to streamline engagements
• Familiarity with finance transformation, process improvement, or systems implementations
• Good Understanding of financial transaction flows in digital platforms
• Proficiency in SQL (for data querying), BI tools (Tableau/PowerBI), and experience with audit software (e.g., CaseWare, Alteryx, or MindBridge).
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical teams
