The CCTV Controller plays an integral role in ensuring that consistently high standards of security, safety and customer care are always delivered. Situated near Fenchurch Street and having been a part of the City Skyline for several decades, this building was recently remodelled to give it new clarity and identity to reposition it as somewhere for legal, media and tech sector occupiers.Information:Position: Control Room CCTV OperatorLocation: Central London (EC3R)Pay Rate: £16.43 per hourHours: 42 hours per weekShifts: 4 on 4 off - Days & NightsJob Requirements:SIA CCTV Licence requiredSIA Licence (DS or SG) requiredCorporate CCTV security experience requiredExcellent PC skills and Microsoft knowledge requiredExperience of working in a demanding, high-pressure environment Excellent understanding of access control & CCTV systems Customer focused, with a strong knowledge of customer service skills Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-taskingHave an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessarySelf-motivated and able to work on own initiative Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressureArrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident management, in line with the CCTV Code of Practice Team player, who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve service delivery Ability to think and act quickly in emergency incidents or under pressure Job Role:Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery Ensure that all security personnel always adhere to their duties and policies and procedures of the site, reporting any breach of these to the Security Manager To monitor the CCTV cameras within the Security Control RoomArrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident management, in line with the CCTV Code of Practice Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the clientAn understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors’ needs.Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the clientAn understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors’ needs.To effectively monitor and patrol via view screens and to take any remedial or immediate action as appropriate To produce and maintain continuity of all detailed records and evidential material required in an accurate, clear and concise format. This includes an incident log, management records, evidence records and other documentation.To monitor and operate radio links with the Loading Bay and Patrolling and Response officersTo carry out regular equipment checks and report all faulty equipment.To sign a confidentiality agreement and follow the guidelines regarding handling of all information obtained within the Control Room, whether CD’s, written, verbal and other sensitive materials held within the Control Room.To monitor, operate and report all Security Control Room technologies (intruder alarms, access control systems, BMS, fire alarm system, lift intercoms, lift monitoring stations) To be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly as Maintain accurate daily electronic occurrence log records (via the CIS HUB)Report any issues or incidents to the Duty Security Manager or Security Manager Respond to all incidents in line with policies and procedures To be aware of and act in accordance with the Data Protection and Human Rights Act regarding disclosure of information and respect privacy.
