Are you warm, organised and passionate about delivering exceptional first impressions? Join Wellesley Hospital as a Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our hospital and provide vital administrative support across our services.
As our Receptionist, you will play an essential role in creating a professional, friendly and supportive experience for everyone who visits the hospital. You’ll ensure all visitors are greeted politely, directed appropriately, and that the relevant staff are informed of their arrival promptly and efficiently.
Alongside this, you’ll provide administration support to managers, colleagues and service users—helping to keep our hospital running smoothly while ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures and best practice.
As the Receptionist, you will be:
- To be the first point of contact for staff and visitors at reception, answering inbound calls promptly and professionally. Transferring calls to the relevant staff or taking messages, passing these along to the relevant staff in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensuring that all visitors sign in to meet the requirements of health & safety and are provided with visitors passes so they can be identified as visitors to the hospital.
- Ensuring that visitors leaving site have signed out so that hospital staff are aware they are no longer on site.
- Ensure that all keys and alarms are allocated and signed out to staff and signed back in at the end of shift/visit. Ensuring that the key management paperwork is accurately completed so that key management can be evidenced for regulatory purposes.
- Ensure all visitors to the Hospital read and sign the contraband item list.
- Complete radio response checks daily to ensure that compliance with radios are adhered to.

- Ability to prioritise duties and responsibilities.
- Experience using office software (emails, calendars, word and excel) (Essential)
- GCSE certificate, Grade C or above in English, or equivalent (Essential).
This role is a 12 months fixed term role
