Crynodeb
The post holder will assist patients with their personal, physical and emotional needs, within the overall programme of care as directed by the registered professional. To undertake nursing, therapy and social support activities following training and demonstration of competency, delegated by the relevant profession. To work without direct supervision undertaking tasks delegated by the relevant profession in order to support the team. To deliver high quality care to patients within the home and clinic setting, respecting patients. To ensure that consent is obtained before any intervention is implemented. Respect the patient and carers as individuals always respecting privacy and dignity. Participate in administering medication, hard collar care, stoma care and eye drops. This list is not exhaustive, but all training and competencies will be offered. Provides advice which contributes to the care, wellbeing or education of patients, including Health Promotion. Maintain confidentiality of all information gained during course of duty. Work flexibly to meet individual health care needs of the patient and carer. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
