Personal assistants are required to support a 19 year old young lady in the school holidays and occasional weekends. This will include activities at home and out and about on a 2:1 basis. There will also be outings with the family. The young lady enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, swimming and cafe's. She is autistic with learning disabilities and epilepsy and is also doubly incontinent and requires personal care.
The hours are Casual/Ad-hoc with flexibility. We are looking to build a bank of personal assistants so individuals can have flexibility in how many hours they wish to work. Experience is not essential but you must be ok with swimming and like dogs. The pay rate will be £14.30 per hour.
From September we are looking for personal assistants to offer wrap around college care at home on a 1:1 basis. The hours are : Monday to Friday, 8am-9.30am and 3.30-5.30pm (3.5 hours per day). These hours can be shared and would be term time only. The rate of pay £14.30 per hour.
EXCEPTION UNDER THE EQUALITY ACT 2010 -The post is only open to female applicants due to the personal assistance required.
