We are seeking an outstanding candidate to help us deliver the Councils new Lets Rent private rented sector offer across North East Derbyshire

North East Derbyshire District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.

The post will sit within the Councils Housing Strategy Team. A key objective of the role is to reduce the Councils reliance on temporary accommodation and the Housing Register.

This is an exciting and expansive role, cross cutting between the homelessness, housing strategy and environmental health private sector housing teams.

You will get to know as many landlords and estate agents across the District and beyond as possible. Promoting the bespoke offers and incentives within the Lets Rent model to secure affordable, good quality homes for residents of North East Derbyshire.

You will build and nurture effective and long-lasting partnerships both within and outside of the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the best Housing Options Teams in the Country.

Experience of project management and / or experience of working with landlords in the private rented sector is desirable, as is a good understanding of current housing pressures and knowledge of the private rented sector.

Training will be provided where appropriate. Good written and oral communication, presentation and negotiation skills are needed, together with being proficient in IT systems including Microsoft packages.

A full-current driving licence and access to a vehicle is an essential requirement.
