What the school offers its staff

Shireland CBSO Academy, opened in September 2023, is a unique institution established in partnership with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. As the country’s first state school to open in partnership with an arts organisation, our academy offers an innovative, creative and inclusive environment where every student’s potential is nurtured and celebrated.

This is a rare opportunity to join us as our inaugural Head of PE. We are seeking an inspiring, energetic and forward‑thinking leader to shape and deliver a high‑quality PE curriculum across all key stages. You will lead the development of an ambitious, inclusive PE provision that promotes physical literacy, competitive sport, health and wellbeing, and a lifelong love of physical activity. You will also play a pivotal role in preparing our first KS4 and KS5 cohorts.
