Hays are recruiting for a Logistics Administrator based in Knutsford.
Your new role
As a Logistics Administrator, you'll work within a fast‑paced, office‑based logistics department, supporting the smooth movement of goods across the UK and EU.This hands‑on position involves day‑to‑day management of deliveries, liaising with internal teams, warehouses, import agents and hauliers to ensure service levels are consistently met.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the administration for daily UK-EU and EU-UK deliveries, including updating systems, managing emails, answering calls and processing invoices.
Collating and reporting data within agreed deadlines.
Supporting audits of hauliers and warehouses as part of ongoing compliance.
Assisting with pricing, rate negotiations and supplier reviews.
Recording and resolving complaints, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Overseeing stock control, including goods receipts, investigation of discrepancies and managing storage and handling invoices.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong administration skills
- Reliability, organisation and a proactive approach to work.
- Confidence operating in a fast‑moving, customer‑focused environment
- Quick learning ability and accuracy.
- An eagerness to learn operational and transport processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Competence with Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One, would be beneficial.
