Crynodeb
* We are looking for a PA for a child who has multiple complex needs. the child has a diagnosis of severe global developmental delay, bilateral subtle perisylvanian, polymicrogyria, Sub endymal /per ventricular nodular heterotopia, Macrocephaly and Hypospadias, Epilepsy (from 4 months) and Scoliosis. The child wears a brace for 24 hours a day.
* The child is non-mobile and a full time wheelchair user, and is non-verbal. PA would need to learn the child's likes/dislikes and cues for their needs.
**Hours** :
* 4 hours a week in term time, 8 hours a week in school holidays.
* 12 x 12 hours night shift per year.
**Shifts:**
* Part-time, flexible hours/days (to be mutually agreed).
* They may vary due to commitments.
**Rate of Pay:**
* £12.21 per hour
**Outline of role: To provide support and assistance to my child, to enable him to achieve maximum personal benefit from their everyday life.**
**Tasks: Personal tasks **
1.Administer of emergency med ,Buccolam in case if the seizure of my son is more than 5 minutes.
2. Help with dressing
3. Help with showering
4. Help changing pads
5. Help with getting from the bed to the feeding chair or wheelchair
6.Help with feeding
**General tasks - on a regular basis, as requested by me :**
1.Attending to child`s care needs, changing, dressing, washing, eating and drinking
2.Stay and play at home with my son or go outside for walk .
3.Stimulation within and outside the home
4.Social activities and adventures
**Social activities - as and when I ask:**
* Assisting my son to participate in various social activities, as per my instructions, this may include going to clubs, the cinema, swimming, bowling, going shopping, attending classes, sporting activities, meeting friends, trips to the park etc.
**This is not a list of everything that I may ask you to do. I may ask you to do similar sorts of tasks which are not listed above. Provided that my request is reasonable, I expect you to follow my instructions. **

* Job Title: Personal Assistant
* Enhanced DBS for working with children will be required, which will be arranged if an up-to-date disclosure is required
* Experience working with children with SEN.
* This job is funded through the direct payment scheme.
