Are you interested in joining a world-class research and development centre? The University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team at AMRC Cymru and help us place Wales amongst the most innovative regions in the UK.
In this role, you will provide staff and visitors with a high standard of reception service. You will be the first point of contact when greeting visitors/customers and will provide a professional reception service. This will include dealing with a range of enquiries by email, telephone and in person. You will be required to ensure the Reception area is kept tidy and handle deliveries. The Receptionist will assist the Cymru Administration team and wider operational function.
For this role you will have:
● Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally.
● Have the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in a busy environment.
● Have excellent organisational skills.
● Preferably have experience of working in a customer-facing role.
The AMRC focuses on the research, development and application of state-of-the-art technologies. We have an excellent track record of developing technology and integrating it into a shop floor environment to demonstrate financial benefit to partners. This ability to translate technological advances into bottom line savings has led to a large growth in demand from especially its aerospace partners and a growing need for skilled engineers with an interest in manufacturing.

We offer a fantastic range of benefits including a highly competitive annual leave entitlement (with the ability to purchase more), a generous pensions scheme, flexible working opportunities, a commitment to your development and wellbeing, a wide range of retail discounts, and much more. Find out more about our benefits (opens in a new window) and join us to become part of something special.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
