The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for a Pricing Manager who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and governing robust pricing models that ensure commercial competitiveness, profitability, and compliance across the bid and contract lifecycle. This role ensures that pricing is based on accurate data, aligned with business strategy, and adheres to relevant legislation and internal controls. The Pricing Manager works cross‑functionally to support profitable growth, provide commercial insight, and deliver consistent value to customers.

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

• Develop, refine, and maintain complex pricing and financial models to support bid submissions, renewals, and commercial decisions.

• Analyse cost structures, operational assumptions, and commercial risks to recommend pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.

• Regularly review and stress test pricing models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with evolving business needs.

• Ensure that all pricing data—including costs, uplifts, inflation indices, and customer specific adjustments—is accurate, validated, and kept up to date.

• Maintain strong internal controls around pricing inputs, documentation, and version control.

• Monitor changes to relevant legislation, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, updating pricing practices and models accordingly.

• Partner closely with sales, bid teams, and operational leaders to ensure pricing proposals meet customer requirements and reflect operational realities.

• Work with procurement to ensure supplier, subcontractor, and expense data is accurately captured and integrated into pricing assumptions.

• Act as the primary point of contact for pricing queries, providing clear guidance to non-technical stakeholders and ensuring understanding of pricing rationale.

• Support operational mobilisation by ensuring budget adherence, accurate cost tracking, and alignment between bid financials and live delivery.

• Provide performance visibility through reporting dashboards and analysis to track financial performance against pricing assumptions.

Administrative & Project Support

• Provide administrative and analytical support for operational or commercial projects as required.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline pricing processes and enhance accuracy.

The ideal candidate

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex formulas, data modelling, and scenario analysis.

• Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret and analyse complex operational and cost data.

• Demonstrated experience in a pricing, financial analysis, commercial, or related role (preferred).

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
