Crynodeb
As a Senior Clinical Support Worker you may be required to carry out and perform a range of clinical based skills in conjunction with the above key areas/tasks.These Skills have been pre-mapped and approved by UHNM for this role and will be supported by completion of a robust UHNM competency package that will be accompanied by education packages delivered by both the Care Coach Team and other UHNM educators across the trust who specialise in the training of these specific skills.These skills include: Taking Clinical Observations and Recording on Vitals/Paper Venepuncture Glucose Monitoring Pregnancy Testing Urine Analysis (Strip) Taking Fecal Samples Carry out 12 lead ECG Observing patients for signs of agitation or distress (Clinical holding/Restraint) Wound Observation Simple Wound Dressing Removal of Peripheral Cannula Take Swabs (e.g. MRSA) Support and Assist New Staff- Buddy System/Care Certificate Supervisor (Training available via ESR)
