Apply today to work as a Bakery Operative for our client- One of the most iconic and best-loved bakery brands.

Staffline is recruiting Bakery Operatives in Erith.

The pay ranges from £12.21 to £15.58 per hour, depending on the sector you are placed in and your previous experience.

Please note that we may require you to be flexible and work across different departments, such as picking, packing, labelling, despatch, bakery production, and cleaning, depending on business needs.

This role offers both full and part-time hours. Working on the following shift patterns: 4 on 4 off - working 2 days, 2 nights on rota, then 4 days off. The hours of work are:
- 6am to 6pm
- 6pm to 6am

Please be aware that Hovis requires all candidates to complete an English test on-site on the induction day. If you pass the test, you will then be invited for your first shift.

Your Time at Work

As a Bakery Operative you will be responsible for:

- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently across multiple areas.
- Labelling products and pallets to the correct standards.
- Supporting despatch operations, including loading, scanning, and preparing goods for shipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness in work areas and following site hygiene procedures.
- Flexibly working across departments such as picking, labelling, despatch, and general warehouse duties as needed.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will be flexible, adaptable, and show great attention to detail. You will be comfortable with warm areas, a noisy environment, and dusty conditions due to flour.

Applicants will show strong health & safety awareness - following hygiene, safety, manual handling rules, and wear masks where required.

You must have clear English communication skills and be able to understand and relay information quickly and safely.

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
