GR Employment Ltd is currently recruiting for an Operations Agent on behalf of one of our valued customers based at their Northampton, Brackmills Industrial area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and customer-focused individual to join a busy Service Centre environment on a maternity cover basis starting around April.

As an Operations Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring that daily customer activities within the Service Centre run smoothly and efficiently. Acting as one of the first points of contact for frontline queries, you will ensure all visitors, drivers, and customers are handled professionally while maintaining the company’s high service standards.

This role is varied and requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience.

Shift Available:

Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM to 4 PM

Hourly Rate: £13.01 per hour

Shift Premium: Extra £2.71 per hour after 7.00 pm

Saturday Premium: Extra £1.18 per hour

Sunday Premium: Extra £2.20 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

Morning Responsibilities (Resolutions Room):

Scanning shipments and identifying any issues

Resolving shipment problems such as incorrect or incomplete addresses

Raising cases for shipments when required, including those that may require disposal

Contacting customers to obtain updated delivery details

Handing out courier boxes to drivers

Ensuring couriers sign for the correct equipment

Afternoon Responsibilities:

Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with customer queries

Managing and updating cases for shipments that require further action or delivery updates

Ensuring all shipment information is accurately updated within the system

Job Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Strong computer skills

Security training will be given when required
