Role Overview
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a pivotal role in delivering outstanding care and support to our residents, ensuring their wellbeing, dignity, and comfort at all times. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.52 to £14.27, reflecting the skills and commitment required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personalised, compassionate care to residents in accordance with their care plans and preferences.
Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal support.
Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and mental health to the nursing team promptly.
Support residents to maintain social and recreational activities, encouraging independence and wellbeing.
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Collaborate closely with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver holistic care.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a care assistant or similar role within health, nursing, or social care is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Compassionate nature with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete care records accurately.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.
Willingness to undertake relevant training and obtain care qualifications such as Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
