SEN Teacher North London Secondary School
A welcoming and inclusive North London secondary school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with complex learning needs who have transitioned from specialist and special school settings.
The role involves working closely with students who have a range of additional needs, including MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). Some students may also be visually impaired or blind, and certain roles may include supporting with personal care where required.
We currently have multiple roles available, supporting different students and needs across the school, making this an excellent opportunity for teachers with experience across a range of SEN provisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored teaching and learning support for students with complex SEN needs
- Adapt lessons and learning strategies to suit individual learning profiles
- Work closely with support staff and the SEN team to ensure students receive the best possible support
- Support students with additional needs including visual impairment and personal care where necessary
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate
- Experience teaching in a special school or working with students with complex SEN needs
- Experience supporting students with MLD and SLD
- Understanding of supporting students with visual impairments is desirable
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting young people
- A strong desire to make a meaningful difference in students educational journeys
