Cover Supervisor Basingstoke
Prospero Teaching is seeking confident, adaptable, and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools in Basingstoke. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons in the teachers absence.
Whether you're looking for full-time stability or ad-hoc flexible work, this role offers a great opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, develop behaviour-management skills, and build confidence leading groups of students. The Role:
Deliver pre-planned lesson plans across a variety of subjects
Supervise and manage classroom behaviour in the teachers absence
Support students with their learning and help keep them engaged
Work across KS3 and KS4 classes depending on daily needs
Provide flexible cover, including advanced bookings and short-notice assignments
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures consistently
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, youth work, mentoring, coaching, etc.)
Confident leading a classroom and maintaining behaviour expectations
Adaptable across a range of subjects and age groups
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Calm, reliable, and proactive
Graduates or aspiring teachers encouraged to apply

Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Basingstoke
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full-Time Part-Time or day-to-day
Pay: Up to £130 per day
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
Experience working with children or young people required
Safeguarding training can be provided
Classroom management experience desirable
Eligibility:
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
Two references covering work with young people
