Our client is looking for a creative and dedicated Head Chef to join and lead the kitchen team at a well-established luxury care home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Chef who wants to bring fresh ideas, create nutritious and appealing meals, and enhance the daily lives of residents through food.
As Head Chef, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, well-presented meals that meet a variety of dietary needs. You'll create menus that are both comforting and inspiring, supporting residents’ health and wellbeing.

What You’ll Need
- Experience working as a Head Chef or senior chef
- Experience working in a care home, healthcare, or similar catering environment
- Knowledge of specialised diets such as soft, textured, or modified meals
- Level 2 or above in Food Preparation, Catering, or Professional Cookery
- Up-to-date Food Hygiene Certificate
- Good understanding of nutrition and dietary needs for older adults
- Ability to manage kitchen organisation, stock control, and food safety standards
What You’ll Do
- Lead the day-to-day running of the care home kitchen and oversee food preparation
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary and cultural requirements
- Maintain high standards of food quality, portion control, and presentation
- Monitor stock levels and manage kitchen ordering and deliveries
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Work with care staff and management to support a positive dining experience for residents
