Are you a Housing Officer looking to make a difference? Do you have a passion for Specialist Housing or Supported Living?

We have an opportunity for a Retirement Housing Officer to join our Specialist Housing team based at Himbleton House, Worcester, with occasional travel to Platform Housing offices when required for training.

This is a part-time role, working an average of 25 hours per week on a 4 week rolling rota. You will typically work two 9am to 10pm shifts per week and these will often be followed by a sleep-in and one-hour handover shift the following morning. You will receive a £55 payment per sleep-in.

What could you be doing? 

As a Retirement Housing Officer, you will be providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment.  You'll be a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice. As well as this, you will signpost to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing, social interaction and minimise isolation. 

You will provide effective building management, including property inspections, risk assessments, H&S monitoring and compliance checks. Responding, investigating and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy agreements will be a key part of the role.

What are somethings that we need from you?

-Experience of working in a customer-facing role in a Housing organisation or with older people in a community/retirement housing.

-You will be customer focused and may have experience of working with customers to solve complex issues.

-An awareness of working with vulnerable Adults would be desirable.

-Knowledge of TEC alarm systems and Fire Alarm Systems, such as Le Grand and Appello is desirable.

-Great interpersonal skills and used to communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.

-Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services too. 

-Confidence using digital devices, ICT software and systems.

-Due to the travel to offices and other facilities, a driving license and use of your own vehicle will be required. You will also need to be based in Worcestershire.

-An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
