Candidates must hold recognised nursery qualifications and possess a genuine passion for working with children.
Duties
Assist in the supervision and care of children in accordance with nursery policies and procedures
Support daily activities, including play, learning, and rest times, ensuring they are engaging and developmentally appropriate
Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety standards
Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents to promote positive relationships
Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes tailored to individual needs
Contribute to organising activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as record keeping and updating children's progress records
Be adaptable to cover shifts as required within the nursery’s operational hours
Requirements
recognised nursery or early childhood education qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare)
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable
Strong management and leadership skills to support team collaboration when required
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between multiple nursery locations or community visits
Proven ability to work flexibly within a team environment
A genuine passion for early childhood development and education
