N & J Logistics are currently recruiting experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team based in Kidderminster. We are a growing logistics company providing transport services across the UK and are looking for professional drivers who take pride in their work.
Duties:
Safely operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles
Complete deliveries and collections according to the daily schedule
Carry out daily vehicle walkaround checks before starting work
Ensure all delivery paperwork and PODs (Proof of Delivery) are completed correctly
Secure loads properly and ensure goods are transported safely
Follow UK driver hours regulations and tachograph rules
Communicate with the transport office about routes, delays, or issues
Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and roadworthy
Provide professional service when dealing with customers and delivery sites
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delays
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely collection and delivery of goods
Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries
Adhere to all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Digital tachograph card
HIAB / Lorry loader licence - preferred but not essential
Moffett / Truck - mounted forklift licence - preferred but not essential
Knowledge of UK driver hours regulations and tachograph rules
Previous experience driving articulated HGVs preferred
Good time management and reliability
Ability to perform daily vehicle walkaround checks
Professional attitude and commitment to safe driving
Knowledge of road regulations and safe driving practices within the UK
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
Good communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients and team members
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
