We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our Metal Prep Department, playing a key role in producing high-quality components for the next stage of production.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with machines, and thrives in a busy, hands-on environment.
Salary: £15.75ph plus shift allowance
Day Shifts: Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm
Afternoon Shifts: Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm
40 hours per week
What you will be doing:
Operating CNC machines, including flatbed laser and tube laser, to produce components to specification.
Checking parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and ready for the next stage of production.
Following job bookings and machine assignments to keep production on schedule.
Identifying and reporting any issues with machines or jobs, helping to minimise downtime.
Working closely with Engineering and other departments to resolve queries as needed.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working area.
What we are looking for:
Experience in CNC machining or laser cutting.
Comfortable reading and working from engineering drawings.
Methodical, with strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
Enthusiastic and proactive, with a hands-on approach and strong work ethic.
A fast learner who enjoys taking initiative and solving problems on the job.
