Your new company
An innovative and rapidly expanding international insurance brokerage is seeking a highly skilled Marine Client Services Senior Associate to join their London office. The business is dedicated to modernising the broking industry and delivering outstanding client service across a global network. With ambitious growth plans, a collaborative culture, and a strong focus on professional development, this is a unique opportunity to join a progressive organisation where your expertise and input will truly make an impact.
Your new role
As the Marine Client Services Senior Associate, you will take a central position within a fast‑paced and high‑performing Marine Client Services team. Working closely with broking colleagues across the company's international offices, you will oversee the full lifecycle of client servicing, from slip production and risk creation to premium processing and client engagement. This role offers both technical depth and leadership opportunity, including the chance to mentor others, drive process improvements and provide subject matter expertise for complex Marine matters.
You will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and communicate confidently with clients, underwriters, colleagues, and senior management. You will ensure the timely creation and accurate preparation of market and client documentation, including slips, endorsements, wordings, clause details and geographical risk considerations. You will proactively monitor upcoming renewals and provide brokers with the key information they need for effective negotiations. You will also manage workloads efficiently through accurate reporting and oversight of premium conditions, PPWs, workflow tasks and financial balances.
You will support risk maintenance, premium processing, and the circulation of documentation, taking ownership of client portfolios through to successful completion. You will conduct quality control checks at each relevant stage to improve accuracy, maximise efficiency and reduce rework. You will review and resolve technical queries raised by clients, markets, IBA, claims and brokers to ensure the best possible outcomes for all parties.
Additionally, you will provide coaching and technical guidance to team members, sharing your expertise to support their growth. You will act as the subject-matter expert for complex Marine servicing matters and will maintain internal systems and databases, ensuring all regulatory requirements and internal procedures are met. You will take a proactive role in implementing process and system improvements. You will also partner with broking teams, preparing renewal data, statistics and documentation to support market placements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have substantial experience and strong technical knowledge of Marine insurance, and any exposure to Cargo or Aviation will be advantageous. You will have extensive experience producing contract wordings and technical clauses. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively, including mentoring junior team members. You will also show a solid understanding of market dynamics and how these influence client needs. You will have the ability to analyse (re)insurance arrangements and recommend improvements that benefit both the client and the organisation. You will be well-organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and confident in adapting to fast‑changing environments. You will have advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills and a strong knowledge of insurance products and how to tailor them to client requirements. Above all, you will be a supportive team player who enjoys contributing to collective success.
What you'll get in return
You will join an organisation where your contributions make a meaningful difference alongside a competitive salary up to £80,000 (D.O.E). The company offers an open, supportive, and collaborative working culture, providing opportunities for ongoing development, learning and career progression. With ambitious plans for the future, this is an excellent time to join and help shape the next chapter of the business.
