An exciting opportunity has come up to join the North Mersey CMHT based at Kingslea House.
To support individuals referred to secondary mental health services for assessment or ongoing care. To demonstrate the Trust values ofinspiring hope, working together, to be caring and compassionate, to value and respect others/ourselvesand to beopen and honest.
As a qualified Social Worker you will demonstrate and live the Professional Standards as identified by Social Work England.
Your post will include working with individuals using research based interventions to promote their independence and recovery whilst maintaining high quality clinical documentation.
This includes respecting individuality, values, cultures and religious diversity of clients and colleagues and thus contributing to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.

• Professional Qualification in Social Work eg BA or MA or equivalent
• Willingness to participate in own continuing professional development which is relevant to role
• Registered with Social Work England
• Have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience of completing assessments in line with key legislations and formulating how a decision has been reached
· Experience of producing collaborative person centred care plans
• Working knowledge of Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005) Mental Health Act (1983) and Human Rights Act (1998) and relevant case law.
· Knowledge of national and local policy around mental health and social care
• Knowledge and application of risk assessment and formulation
• Ability to apply Strengths Based and recovery focused approach
· Ability to use technology effectively
· Communication skills that enable engagement
· Skills in managing conflict and negotiation
· Ability to co-produce person centred plans
Ability to reflect on own practice and change approach where necessary
• There is a frequent requirement to travel mainly within the CMHT area in order to visit service users in their homes or in other community basis and an occasional requirement to travel across the wide footprint of the Trust to attend meetings and events relevant to the role.
