Workshop Technician (HGV/Plant) - Oxfordshire

Our client, a reputable company based in Frilford, Abingdon, is hiring a dedicated Workshop Technician to join their growing team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing:
* Servicing, inspecting, and repairing a diverse fleet of HGVs, concrete pump vehicles, and heavy plant equipment to ensure optimal safety, reliability, and uptime.
* Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
* Conducting safety checks and preventative maintenance.
* Preparing vehicles and equipment for MOT, LOLER, and PUWER inspections.
* Completing accurate job cards and maintenance records.
* Attending breakdowns as needed.
* Maintaining workshop cleanliness and organisation.
* Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards.

What you'll bring:
* Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, HGV Mechanic, or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrics.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent are preferred.
* An HGV licence is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
* Self-motivated, organised, and a team player.
