Field Service Engineer – Print Automation & Finishing
Location: London & Home Counties (Field Based)
The Company
Our client is a premier UK supplier of world-leading print finishing technology. Partnering exclusively with manufacturers from Germany, Japan, and Italy, they provide highly automated, cutting-edge solutions to the printing industry. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their specialist engineering team.
The Role
This is a home-based field role covering London and the Home Counties. You will be responsible for the full-lifecycle support of machinery, including binders, stitchers, folders, laminators, and guillotines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and electrical faults back to the PCB.
• Interpreting software error codes and performing software updates.
• Training client operators on new equipment.
About You
We are looking for a field service engineer with a good mix of the following skills and experience:
• Mechanical knowledge (gears, bearings, belts) and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Electrical fault-finding skills – ability to trace a fault back to the PCB
• Comfortable uploading software updates.
• While print industry experience is highly desirable, we welcome candidates from packaging, FMCG, or automated manufacturing machinery backgrounds.
• A full UK driving licence and a flexible approach to travel and occasional overnight stays.

• £38,000 - £45,000 + Overtime (1.5x) + Monthly/Annual Bonuses
