An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Pharmacist to join the Women's and Children's team working at North Manchester General Hospital. You will deliver a high-quality, patient focused, clinical pharmacy service to inpatient and outpatient service users.
The W&C service at NMGH is part of the MFT Specialist Hospitals Clinical Group (including St Marys Hospital and the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital), delivering specialist care to a wide range of patient groups. We provide obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatric and neonatal services on the site, in addition to supporting outpatient clinic services and MDTs.

To deliver a high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service for women's and children's services and to establish effective relationships with clinical staff and other stakeholders delivering inpatient and outpatient care to our service users.
To promote the responsible, safe , clinically-effective and cost-effective use of medicines within the service. To support education and development of medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in your role as Highly Specialist Pharmacist for W&C services.
In addition to having a passion for women's and children's services you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team whilst also managing your own workload. You must be able to manage and motivate others and have the ability to influence the multidisciplinary team and engage with key stakeholders.
You will develop your leadership and management skills within Pharmacy, with line management and clinical supervision key elements of your role. You will be part of the departmental weekend, late and oncall rotas.
