The post-holders will work under supervision across a range of education settings to deliver high-quality, evidence-based early interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health needs. Senior Practitioners play a key role as members of the Mental Health Support Teams, and have responsibility for delivering whole school approach activities to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for children and young people. You will be employed by Barnardos as a Project Worker 3 post. In this role you will support and provide a high-quality service to children and young people (and their families) who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This will be done through; direct delivery of evidence based interventions (low intensity CBT) to support the recovery of children and young people referred to the service, the utilisation of skills and knowledge of CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice, and through your knowledge of whole school approaches to mental health. You will be involved in offering supervision to EMHPS. This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards. The post holders will receive clinical supervision and will report to the Team Manager and will be accountable to the Childrens Service Manager.
