Brightwork are delighted to exclusively support a long-standing client in their search for a Warehouse Operative to join their busy operation in Glasgow.
Our client is a well-established business operating within the industrial supply an
d engineering sector, offering a stable working environment and long-term career opportunities. This role would suit a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys a varied position combining warehouse responsibilities with occasional driving duties.
Key Responsibilities
• Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
• Carrying out stock rotation and inventory checks while maintaining accurate records
• Keeping the warehouse organised, clean, and compliant with health & safety standards
• Assisting with product assembly (training provided)
• Cutting, preparing, and assembling components using specialised machinery
• Ensuring all assemblies meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Reading technical drawings or specifications where required
• Inspecting parts and fittings to ensure safety and reliability
• Undertaking general warehouse duties as required
• Supporting delivery activities as part of the driving element of the role
Skills & Experience
Essential:
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to learn and interpret technical information
• Commitment to following health and safety procedures
Desirable:
• Previous warehouse or stores experience
• Experience assembling mechanical components
• Ability to read technical drawings or specifications
• Forklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment
