We are seeking a dedicated and organised Transport Weekend Supervisor to oversee logistics operations during the weekend shifts. This role involves managing transportation schedules, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth coordination of supply chain activities. Working hours are:
Saturday: 07:45 - 17:00
Sunday: 08:45 - 15:30

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate weekend transportation activities to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods.
Manage scheduling and routing of transport vehicles, ensuring optimal utilisation.
Oversee a team of drivers and support staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of customer service.
Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to coordinate logistics operations effectively.
Utilise Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to prepare reports, schedules, and communication documents.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and staff attendance.
Address any operational issues promptly, implementing solutions to minimise disruptions.
Ensure adherence to health and safety policies during all logistical activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within logistics or supply chain environments.
Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for transporting goods or personnel.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT literacy.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of logistics processes, supply chain management, and transportation planning.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
