Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
Monday -Friday 8am-5pm / 4:30pm!
Organised, Established Independent Garage!
Basic Salary up to £40,000!
Folkestone Area

A well-run independent garage group in Folkestone is looking to add two experienced Technicians to its workshop team.
The business operates across two separate, well-organised sites, each set up to specialise in its own type of work, allowing technicians to focus on the jobs they do best. Both workshops are structured, efficient environments where the workflow is optimised to keep the day running smoothly.

Salary and Benefits
• Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
• Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:30pm
• Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays
• Benefits: Free on-site parking

MOT Tester / Service Technician – Cars

This role is based at the cars-only workshop, a site dedicated to MOT testing, servicing and general repairs on passenger vehicles.

Responsibilities
• Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA standards
• Complete routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
• Perform general mechanical repairs on cars
• Carry out inspections and fault finding
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety

Requirements
• Qualified MOT Tester
• Strong experience with servicing and general mechanical repairs
• Comfortable working within a busy independent workshop
• Ability to manage workload efficiently

Diagnostic / Repair Technicians – Cars and LCV

This role is based at the group’s second workshop, which is set up to handle both cars and light commercial vehicles, including minibuses and motorhomes. The site focuses on more varied repair and diagnostic work.

Responsibilities
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out servicing and repairs on cars and LCVs
• Work on a range of vehicles including minibuses and motorhomes
• Support the workshop with varied repair and maintenance work

Requirements
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience
• Experience working on cars and light commercial vehicles
• Confident carrying out servicing and mechanical repairs
• Welding ability would be beneficial but not essential
