About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and people-focused Employment Advisor to join their friendly and busy Employment Team. In this role, you will work 1:1 with participants on employment programmes—building strong relationships, understanding individual needs, and supporting them with clear action plans to move closer to sustainable employment.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the programme meets its performance targets while making a real difference to people within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Engage proactively with local communities, employers, Jobcentre Plus, and partner organisations.
Conduct participant interviews, ensuring eligibility and suitability for the programme.
Identify barriers to employment and signpost individuals to appropriate support services.
Support participants with goal setting, monitoring progress, and keeping them motivated.
Source internal and external support such as training, health & wellbeing services, and digital inclusion resources.
Deliver employability sessions, including job search support and interview preparation.
Gather and respond to participant feedback to improve the service.
Build relationships with employers to source work placements, trials, volunteering opportunities, and job vacancies.
Job match and pre‑screen participants for suitable opportunities.
Provide aftercare and retention support to help participants sustain employment.
About You
You’ll enjoy working with people, be naturally organised, and thrive in a busy environment. Confidence in community engagement and strong communication skills will help you succeed in this role.
Teem Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
