We are recruiting a Transport Shift Manager (Night Shift) for our clients busy site in Widnes. Working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (19:00–07:00).
Salary: Up to £35,500 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Operations Manager and ensure compliance with all legal and safety requirements, deputising when required
• Execute daily delivery and collection plans, managing resources and resolving delays
• Manage the transport office and drivers during the night shift
• Ensure all processes and procedures are followed and operations run safely and efficiently
• Dispatch drivers on time to meet contract SLAs
• Minimise damages and arrange breakdown support for vehicles or trailers
• Ensure staff are trained and adhere to company procedures
Requirements:
• Experience working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
• Previous experience supervising and developing teams in a transport operation
• Strong understanding of transport compliance and driver hours
• Good computer skills for emails, driver dispatch and shift handovers
• Experience working with C+E drivers is beneficial
