Crynodeb
The post is required to support the site-specialist consultant led service including facilities for inpatients and outpatients, a dedicated chemotherapy suite and radiotherapy facilities. In addition, there is an integrated Oncology Clinical Trials Centre and the department is currently developing its Medical Oncology team. This post is based at The University Hospital in Coventry (UHCW). The post holder will be expected to provide cross cover for MDTs (videoconferencing is available) and to liaise with the Acute Physicians/Emergency department as part of the supporting the Acute Nurse Led Oncology Service and when on call. The key duties of this post will include driving forward Gynaecological Cancer care alongside Brachytherapy care. You will be joining a team of 22 Clinical Oncologists and 3 Medical Oncologists at UHCW Cancer Centre, serving UHCW and the adjoining Cancer Units at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWUFT), George Eliot Hospital (GEH), Stratford Rigby Unit and Rugby Maple Unit.
