Level 3 Nursery Assistant

Solar Teaching is currently recruiting for a Level 3 Nursery Assistant to support a welcoming nursery setting in Kidderminster.
This role involves working with children aged 2–3 years, supporting their development in a nurturing and engaging early years environment. The successful candidate will also assist with wrap-around care, including breakfast club and after-school sessions.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 2–3 years.
• Support activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Observe and record children’s progress and support developmental assessments.
• Assist with wrap-around care sessions, including breakfast and after-school provision.
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
Requirements
• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children aged 2–3 years in a nursery or early years setting.
• Experience supporting wrap-around care or extended provision.
• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Must be able to start immediately.
• Must hold a valid DBS registered on the DBS Update Service.
• A caring, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
