UHI Moray is entering an exciting period of growth within our Counselling curriculum. We are in the final stages of approval (March) for our new BSc (Hons) Counselling, due to launch and deliver in academic year 2026–27. Alongside this development, we are expanding our provision with two new Professional Development Awards in Addiction Counselling and Children and Young People Counselling. These programmes complement our existing FE schools provision, SCQF Level 5 and 6 courses, HNC and HND Counselling, and COSCA-accredited training.
To support this expansion, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Lecturer(s) in Counselling. This post also carries the responsibility of Programme Leader duties for the BSc (Hons) Counselling, providing degree leadership and working closely with the Counselling team and module leaders to ensure high quality delivery and student experience.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
• Teach across our suite of counselling programmes at FE, HE, and degree level.
• Lead and coordinate the BSc (Hons) Counselling programme, including curriculum oversight, module leader oversight, quality assurance, and programme development.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of counselling education within UHI Moray and UHI.
About You
Applicants must:
• Hold a minimum of a Master’s degree (SCQF Level 11) with substantial Person Centred counselling experience.
• Be COSCA or BACP Accredited.
• Demonstrate strong professional practice and a commitment to high quality learner experience.
Experience in degree programme leadership, network delivery, developing and delivering training or teaching is desirable, though not essential.
