Workshop Controller – High-End Automotive Business
Location: Horsham Area
Salary: £50,000 Basic + £10,000–£12,000 Bonus
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Holiday: 22 Days + Bank Holidays + Long Service Leave
I am recruiting for a fantastic opportunity that has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a well-established, high-end automotive business in the Horsham area. This is a key position within the workshop, responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and productive running of daily operations while supporting a small team of skilled technicians.
This role will initially combine hands-on involvement with workshop control responsibilities, making it ideal for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys being close to the work. Over time, the position will naturally evolve to become more service and operations focused as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily workflow of the workshop to maximise productivity and efficiency
• Ensure job cards are accurate, clear, and make commercial sense before work begins
• Allocate work effectively across the technician team
• Monitor workshop performance and maintain high operational standards
• Support technicians where required with your technical expertise
• Work closely with the service side of the business to ensure smooth communication and customer satisfaction
• Help drive improvements in workshop processes and productivity
About You
• Current experience as a Workshop Controller is essential
• Strong technical automotive background
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Able to manage workflow, priorities, and team productivity effectively
• A natural problem solver who can spot inefficiencies and improve processes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-quality automotive environment
What’s on Offer
