From 01/09/26 until approximately March 27, or until the return of the substantive post holder, whichever is sooner
Elmfield School for Deaf Children is a specialist setting for deaf children with an EHCP in the locality. We are a very small school (on two sites) which follows the aims and ambitions of the national curriculum, but is delivered in a highly individualised manner.
All teaching and learning sits within a sign bilingual framework. This allows all pupils to access their learning through either BSL or spoken English. This equity in language is a key principle of our school.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspirational Y2 class teacher.
Applications will be considered from mainstream teachers with a keen interest in SEND/Deaf education as well as experienced Teachers of the Deaf.
Prospective applicants are welcome to visit the school. Please email us at office@elmfieldschool.co.uk to arrange a convenient time and date.
Commitment to safeguarding
