Contract: Temporary with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful trial period

About the Role

The Best Connection is looking for a Chef de Partie to join our client's prestigious venue near Howden. This role is initially temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent after a successful trial period.

As part of the kitchen team, you will contribute to delivering an excellent guest experience while supporting the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment and be able to maintain high standards of food preparation and service.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparing and documenting requirements for daily dishes each morning

  • Cleaning and organising food preparation areas in line with COSHH and HACCP guidelines

  • Supporting the Head Chef in developing a strong and efficient kitchen team

  • Assisting with addressing and resolving diners' or clients' complaints when necessary

  • Monitoring kitchen operations and staff to ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are maintained

  • Ensuring all food products used are fresh and within expiry dates

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience working with banqueting or large functions

  • Strong knowledge of kitchen routines and equipment

  • Ability to follow the Head Chef's instructions and work collaboratively

  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation

  • Understanding of proper care and maintenance of kitchen utensils

  • Good communication and conflict resolution skills

  • Leadership qualities and the ability to support junior staff

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • A proactive approach to menu ideas and food development

  • Own transport due to the remote location
