Summary

Paediatric Occupational Therapists needed across London

Pay Rate: £30 - £40 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to support Local Authorities across London in delivering statutory EHCP provision and assessments. You will carry out specialist occupational therapy assessments, provide clear evidence‑based recommendations, and contribute to legally compliant EHCPs that support children's functional development, participation in education, and independence. You will work closely with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive and effective approach.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct paediatric occupational therapy assessments for children undergoing Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs).
* Provide clear, measurable, and outcome‑focused recommendations for EHCPs.
* Collaborate with schools, families, and Local Authority professionals to ensure integrated support.
* Contribute to annual reviews and the ongoing EHCP process where required.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with safeguarding and data‑protection standards.

Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
* HCPC registration (essential).
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and young people with SEND.
* Experience contributing to EHCPs within educational, community, or clinical settings.
* Strong assessment, intervention planning, report‑writing, and communication skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
* Professional indemnity & public liability insurance.

Desirable:
- Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
* Experience working in early years, mainstream schools, or specialist education settings.
* Knowledge of sensory integration, autism, motor coordination difficulties, or physical disabilities.
* Experience providing training or advice to school staff or families.

Additional Information:
- Consultancy position with flexible working options.
* Travel to schools and community settings may be required.
* All safeguarding and vetting checks must be completed before starting.
