IT Services play a central role in supporting over 25,000 students and 1,700 staff, and we are dedicated to providing responsive, high-quality technical support.As an IT Field Engineer, you will deliver high-quality on-site and remote support to colleagues and students across the College, ensuring that all support activities operate within agreed process frameworks and service standards.In this role, you will work closely with IT Business Partners to provide effective on-site support for both strategic projects and day-to-day operational needs. You will play a key role in ensuring that support activities are delivered in line with established processes and service level agreements.
Your responsibilities will include actively managing local call queues and providing telephone, remote and on-site technical support. This will involve desktop support, Microsoft 365 support, resolving local network and telephony issues, and assisting with low-level server hardware support.This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, working directly with users, and contributing to the delivery of reliable IT services in a busy and diverse environment.
