Salary: Sixth Form Colleges Association Teachers Pay Spine, points 1-9 (£33,465 - £51,714) plus RA6 £5,073
Rochdale Sixth Form College, part of the Altus Education Partnership, is seeking to appoint an exceptional Subject Leader of Psychology to lead one of the largest and most successful departments in the college.

About the Role:
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to lead a thriving Psychology department delivering:
- AQA A-Level Psychology to around 1,000 students
- BTEC Applied Psychology to around 100 students
You will lead a team of 11 dedicated teachers, ensuring outstanding teaching, high academic standards, and exceptional student outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the Psychology curriculum
- Line managing and supporting teaching staff
- Driving outstanding teaching and learning
- Monitoring student progress and achievement
- Promoting innovation and sharing best practice
- Contributing to whole-college improvement

- Holds a relevant degree and PGCE with QTS/QTLS
- Is a passionate and inspiring Psychology teacher
- Has a strong track record of excellent A-Level results
- Is an outstanding classroom practitioner
- Can lead, motivate and develop colleagues
- Has high expectations and a commitment to student success
