We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specialising in Indian cuisine to join our team in Lincolnshire. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in preparing authentic curries and mastering the tandoori oven. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, ensuring genuine flavours, and upholding strict kitchen hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, specialising in a range of curries and tandoori items.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Manage and monitor ingredient quality and stock levels.
- Ensure strict adherence to UK food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Potentially assist in menu planning and developing new recipes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a chef specialising in Indian cuisine (Curry and Tandoori).
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and recipes.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or professional training are advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 (or willingness to obtain it)
